Leonardo Moreno Rey "LEMORÉ", Bogotano and raised in Málaga Santander Colombia, has dedicated his life to cross it with a brush. Embraced multicolored spots of Colombian land, from an early age wanted to capture in fabrics his chromatic perspective; a trade that today continues to develop vigorously. He delivers more than landscapes, infinite dimensionless time, leading to a deep and very personal insight of being. It invites us to delve into the confines of the spirit by catalyzing their work in our minds, because their strokes turn into a portal to cross experiences beyond faith.
"I do not paint landscapes, "Leonardo says, "I make lines that appear to be, but they are like pieces of a large puzzle of emotions I experience being in places which intend to evoke not as a geographical reference, but as a personal journey. That's the possibility that I offer the viewer: the opportunity to find himself through my paintings”.
His penchant for art is born by family influence; although there no painters, there are many musicians in it. His first series of paintings called: Dreams of the universe, followed by: Horizons and we currently have: Colors of my Land.
His work has been in different latitudes, not only in Colombia but in other countries in America and Europe. Among the highlights of his career has very important awards, including winning the American Bicentennial in Tunja Boyacá in the framework of the International Festival of Culture, in 2010. His first international award led to Alejandro Obregon open room at the Consulate General of Colombia, Venezuela in San Cristóbal in 2003. Cover of the institutional book of Artistic Festival in Cota, Cundinamarca (Colombia) in 2014. Cover of the book “The Education of Youth in the Future”, made in Argentina, which today is published on the official UNESCO 2015 site. Selected by international juries to represent Colombia in the Hispanic Heritage Month in the UnitedStates, in October this year; among other distinctions more.
He has also been invited especially different cultural programs, national and international television events, as well as his work have been exalted in different print media in several countries.
His humanistic pretense and love of art led him to create and implement such important stimuli as the Universe Chia painting Prize in 2012, with the support of the municipal government, where his influence was evident to make this event an international proposal. For more than six years to permanent display in a gallery respected Miami, where he had excellent acceptance.
Currently LEMORÉ continues to receive invitations from different parts of Colombia and the world to exhibit their works full of life, color and passion. His dreams of seeing his beloved country full of love, hope and peace.
